Required Rental Security Deposit
Deposit amounts vary based on the age of the operator and are required per jet ski, per driver:
- A valid driver’s license and a minimum age of 18 are required to rent and operate a jet ski.
- You may also rent a jet ski with a valid ID or passport, but additional restrictions may apply.
Ages 25+
$200 deposit
Ages 21-24
$350 deposit
Ages 18-20
$500 deposit
- Reduced deposit of $200 available with completion of a Texas Boater Safety Course
- No USA Driver’s License: $500 deposit (Valid ID or passport required)
- 30-Minute Rentals: $350 deposit (mandatory for all ages)
What’s Included in Your Deposit?
- One primary driver per jet ski is covered in the initial security deposit.
- If you wish to add a second driver to a shared jet ski rental, an additional deposit will be required based on age.
Passengers
- Ride for free (included in base rental price).
- A maximum of 2 people per jet ski per hour is allowed.
- No switching of drivers or passengers once rental begins—strictly enforced.
Additional Drivers
- To add additional drivers or passengers, you must purchase extra rental time or rent an additional jet ski.
- Only 2 people per jet ski are allowed per hour.
EQUIPMENT DAMAGE POLICY
- All jet skis undergo a pre-rental inspection and a return inspection by staff.
- Any damages occurring after rental begins are the financial responsibility of the renter.
- To receive a 100% refund of your security deposit, return the jet ski without any cosmetic or mechanical defects.
Deposit Refund Policy
- Jet Ski Houston will process deposit refunds within 2-3 business days.
- The time it takes to receive the refunded amount depends on your bank’s processing time (typically 5-7 business days).For More Info:
